GoTab Appi has been designed for use by children (ages 3 years and over) under supervision by a parent or adult. GoTab Appi is designed for use by families together; to get the most out of GoTab Appi it requires input, involvement, contribution and participation from parents.
WARNING Failure to observe all safety instructions contained in the documentation for your GoTab Appi could result in injury, damage, electric shock, fire, and may affect your Warranty and might lead to suspension or denial of services to the offender, legal action, or both.
Safety Information Do not drop, disassemble, bend, deform, puncture, incinerate, paint, destroy, throw, attempt to open, or insert foreign objects, or place heavy objects on your GoTab Appi. Sensitive components inside might become damaged. Your GoTab Appi contains small parts that might be a choking hazard. Do not attempt to modify your GoTab Appi in any way.
Do not use excessive force to insert a charger, Micro SD Card, Micro USB cable or 3.5mm Headphone jack into the corresponding port on the GoTab Appi as you may damage the tablet or the accessory.
GoTab Appi has protection from bumps and knocks from it’s silicon case, however the touchpanel and display screen can break or crack if dropped or thrown on a hard surface, are the subject of a high impact, or are crushed by a heavy object. If the glass chips or cracks do not touch the broken glass or attempt to remove it from the GoTab Appi. Stop using the GoTab Appi immediately and contact My Go Technical Support for repair, replacement, or disposal information. Do not use sharp objects on the screen. The capacitive touchscreen is very sensitive to the Crayon Stylus supplied so only a gentle amount of contact is required. Do not use excessive force on the screen.
WARNING: STRANGULATION HAZARD – Keep the charger and cord out of child’s reach as the cord can wrap around child’s neck. To avoid strangulation and entanglement, keep the charger cords of reach of young children NEVER place charger cord within a child’s play area.
WARNING: CHOKING HAZARD – GoTab Appi contains small parts that can be a choking hazard. Keep your GoTab Appi and accessories away from small children under 3 years of age. Plastic bags can be dangerous. Keep plastic bags away from babies and children to avoid danger of suffocation.
CAUTION: Excessive sound pressure from speakers, earphones or headphones can cause hearing loss or damage. To protect your hearing, adjust the equalizer to an appropriate level. Its recommended to always lower the system volume to a low setting before playing any audio, then increasing the volume setting to a comfortable level.
Do not use your GoTab Appi or accessories near water or spill liquid of any kind on your GoTab Appi or accessories as this might cause a short circuit, a fire, or an electric shock which could cause serious injury, death, and property loss.
Exposure to flashing lights on your GoTab Appi can cause epileptic seizures or blackouts. If you or others experience any disorientation, loss of awareness, twitching, convulsions, any involuntary movements, epileptic seizures or blackouts, stop using your GoTab Appi immediately and consult a physician.
Repetitive strain: When using your GoTab Appi, take frequent breaks. If you experience any discomfort in your neck, shoulders, arms, wrists, hands (including thumbs and fingers), or other parts of the body when using your GoTab Appi, cease use immediately. If discomfort persists, consult a physician.
Do not use or store your GoTab Appi in temperatures exceeding 40°C as your GoTab Appi might overheat and may present a burn and fire risk and cease to function. Do not dispose of your GoTab Appi in a fire as this might cause an explosion resulting in serious injury, death, and property loss. Avoid using your GoTab Appi outdoors in direct sunlight as this might cause your GoTab Appi to overheat, which could present a burn or fire risk, and damage your GoTab Appi. Use of the GoTab Appi in direct sunlight could also reflect sun into your eyes and onto your skin causing eye damage and sunburn.
Using your GoTab Appi while driving could put you and others at greater risk of an accident causing serious injury, death, and property damage. If your vehicle is equipped with an air bag, do not place your GoTab Appi or other objects above the air bag, or in the air bag deployment area. Improper storage/use of your GoTab Appi or accessories in your vehicle may result in serious injury, death, and property damage. Do not use your GoTab Appi in the presence of gas fumes as it presents a risk of fire or explosion.
When taking, processing, or using pictures, obey all laws, regulations, procedures, and policies, including, without limitation, any copyright, personal privacy, trade secret, or security laws which might govern or restrict you while using your GoTab Appi. Honour the personal rights of others, especially children. Copyright protections might prevent you from copying, modifying, transferring, or forwarding some pictures, or other content.
Use only authorised chargers supplied by My Go Ltd. Use of third party chargers can damage your GoTab Appi and cause damage, shock or fire. Use of any other accessory might invalidate any warranty provided with your GoTab Appi and might be dangerous. Charging GoTab Appi should always be done by an adult / parent.
Situate your GoTab Appi or accessories away from heat sources, such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat. If you are not going to use your GoTab Appi for more than a week, turn off the GoTab Appi power, unplug the charger from the mains, and leave in a cool, non-humid place.
Do not place your GoTab Appi or accessories on any unstable surface. They could fall and thereby potentially cause serious injury and damage to property including your GoTab Appi. Take care when using your GoTab Appi with any charging accessories to route the power cord in a way that reduces the risk of injury to others, such as by tripping or choking.
Do not use liquid, aerosol cleaners, or solvents on or near your GoTab Appi or accessories. Clean only with a soft dry cloth. Disconnect any cables and unplug any charging accessories from the electrical outlet before cleaning either your GoTab Appi or the charging accessory.
Only qualified service personnel should perform repairs to this GoTab Appi. Disconnect the power supply cables from the electrical outlet and refer the GoTab Appi or charging accessory for service to authorised My Go service personnel if any of the following situations occur: The power supply cord, plug, or connector is damaged; Liquid has been spilled or objects have fallen into the opening on the GoTab Appi or charging accessory; Your GoTab Appi or charging accessory has been exposed to rain or water; becomes very hot to the touch; has been dropped or damaged in any way; does not operate normally by following the instructions in the user documentation; exhibits a distinct change in performance.
Radio Frequency Absorption GoTab Appi has internal Wi-Fi and is a radio transmitter and receiver. When your GoTab Appi has an established Wi-Fi connection, it receives and sends out radio frequency (RF) signals. The GoTab Appi is designed to comply with CE guidelines respecting safety levels of RF exposure for wireless devices and as recommended by The Council of the European Union when used as directed in this Safety Booklet. The long term effects of exceeding radio frequency exposure standards might present a risk of serious harm. If you do not wish to expose your child to RF then use the GoTab in Aeroplane mode, turn off the Wi-Fi or untick the ‘Allow Internet Connection’ in Appi settings.
Turn off all wireless connections on your GoTab Appi in health care facilities when any regulations posted in these areas instruct you to do so. If you have any reason to suspect that interference with medical equipment is taking place, turn off all wireless connections on your GoTab Appi immediately.
Turn off all wireless connections on your GoTab Appi before boarding an aircraft, or follow the instructions given by airline staff regarding electronic equipment. Using your GoTab Appi on an aircraft might affect aircraft instrumentation, communication, and performance; or otherwise be dangerous to the operation of the aircraft, its crew, and its passengers; and might be illegal.
Please recycle the packaging in accordance with your local regulations.
Use of the GoTab Appi GoTab Appi’s parental control features requires acceptance of the GoTab Appi End User License Agreement (EULA) which is shown during the initial setup. Do not delete unknown files or change the name of files or directories that were not created by you; otherwise, your GoTab Appi software might fail to work.
INTERNET The GoTab Appi has internet browsing functionality. The GoTab Appi does not include any content filtering, blocking or safety features for blocking content that is unsuitable for children. It is recommended that you do not allow internet access (‘Browser’ app) to children.
If you do wish to grant your child access to the internet, there are various Content blocking apps available. Before allowing your child onto the internet its recommended to tech Internet Safety, know where your children go online, let them know to beware of strangers, not to give out personal information or to arrange meetups, and to be aware of cyberbullying and to talk to you if it happens to them.
Wi-Fi broadband internet access is not included. This may be a chargeable service.
