How to fix some app issues by clearing your app cache

It can be easy to forget that your GoFone/GoTab is just as much of a computer as the PC sitting on your desk. And like all computers, things can sometimes go wrong.

If an app has suddenly stopped working correctly and re-starting the app didn’t help, then clearing the app cache may get things working properly again.

To start, open Settings. Scroll down and tap Apps. From there, find the app that’s experiencing problems—you may need to swipe left or right to either the Downloaded, Running, or All sections—and tap on it.

Once you do that, you’ll be taken to an “app info” screen that provides some technical details including the app’s version number and how much storage space it uses. Scroll down to the Cache section, then tap Clear cache.

Finally, go back to the homescreen and try launching the problematic app and see if that cleared up the problem. If not, you might want to go back to the app info screen and hit both the Clear data and Clear cache buttons. A final resort would be to uninstall the app completely, and re-download it.

Please note that not all apps are compatible with GoFone/GoTab or also your version of Android.
